Danielle & John | 2009 New Years Eve Wedding

Wow it’s 2010 already!  Time sure flies when you’re busy, and having fun of course.  I’m also very excited as I am officially getting married this year!  For once Justin and I will be on the other side of the camera as we say our “I Do’s”!

Business-wise we are busier than ever as our awesome clients are telling their friends about us.  During 2009 we saw a huge increase in our client base, and we opened our brand new studio located here in Etobicoke on Islington Avenue.  The studio is now open by appointment only for consultations, and if you are planning a 2010 or 2011 wedding we’d love to have you by for a drink to chat about your wedding photography vision, and to see some samples.  Please feel free to give me a call at 416.662.7495 to setup a consultation.

If you are getting married in 2010 we still have a few dates available so please feel free to get in touch.  We’ve also begun booking for 2011 weddings so if you’re a 2011 bride it’s not too soon to chat:-)

Now, on to Danielle and John, my latest newly-wed clients.  This lovely couple decided to ring in 2010 by saying “I Do” and having a fab party with their family and friends.  Everyone was totally into the celebration, making for one of the coolest photo-ops I’ve ever had the opportunity to shoot!  We setup on the dance floor to capture the countdown and everything just exploded at midnight!  Beyond cool to shoot.  Especially when Lisa from Hello DJ! played 1999 by Prince.  My fave song of the night for sure.

The day began with the bride and groom getting ready at the Holiday Inn in Oakville.  It was super convenient because the wedding ceremony and reception was taking place literally next door at the Oakville Conference & Banquet Centre.  The ceremony was beautiful and the room was then transformed for the reception.  Decorated in royal blue, the bridal party looked very chic and the whole affair had a flare of excitement due to the imminent arrival of 2010.

Check out the photos below of their gorgeous day:

In this shot the groomsmen were doing the can-can to get Danielle and John to kiss!  There were many other fun dares performed as part of their kissing game as well.

And here’s the always lovely Lisa Ng from Hello DJ! with her husband Paul – they totally rocked this New Years Eve wedding and kept the dance floor going all-night (as usual)!
