Real Bride 2010 Contest Winner | Photoshoot

It’s been a while coming since we got so busy shooting weddings this past summer and fall, but here it is – the photoshoot from our Real Bride 2010 Model Search contest!

As you may recall, 13 different real-life brides submitted photos and their story of why they wanted to win, and our blog readers voted for Aimee to win the grand prize, which consisted of:

- A professional photoshoot with Lisa Mark Photography (at least 2 hours in length, possibly longer)

- Hair and make-up by Melanie Sivitilli

- Bridal styling by Ashley Braz to finesse your look on-set

- A Gorgeous 5×5 Album of 20 images of your choice

- A 16×20 Canvas Wrap of your choice

* This prize is valued at over $1500! *

The shoot took place out in the country in Milton, Ontario and was a great success!  The always talented Melanie Sivitilli provided hair and make-up services and made sure Aimee looked gorgeous the entire afternoon.  Bridal fashion stylist extraordinaire Ashley Braz decked Aimee out in the most beautiful veils, jewelry and accessories, and ensured everything looked perfect.  Mirella from Rainflower Company provided a stunning bridal bouquet, complete with a bejewelled brooch to add a finishing touch to Aimee’s look; and last but not least, Justin rocked the off-camera lighting, reflectors, and everything in-between.

Big thanks to our contest winner and model Aimee, who did an incredible job as our model for this shoot!  She did an amazing job in-front of the camera, and it was a HOT day.  So, without further ado, here are some highlights from Aimee’s big shoot!

Ashley attaches a gorgeous matilla veil securely to Aimee’s hair, ensuring it won’t fly away during those dramatic, windy shots.

Aimee brought along her own dress and various shoes for the shoot day.  How CUTE are these red boots?  Both practical and adorable when shooting out in a field!

The detailed edge on this mantilla veil really was incredibly beautiful.  Probably my favourite accessory of the day.

Justin shows off the basket of apples prop, while prepping for some off-camera flash.  He’s such a multi-tasker.  Ashley shown here in-between prepping Aimee’s various & equally amazing “looks” she’s put together for the shoot.

Melanie is truly an artist.  Here she is keeping Aimee shine-free and looking effortlessly flawless.  Photographers like me are lucky to have make-up artist like her – makes my Photoshop work a lot easier!

This was by far my most favourite light of the day.  It was so yummy, and I rarely describe light as “yummy”.  But there you have it.

Thank you to everyone involved for an amazing job well done!

Ann - Lisa, you outdid yourself with this shoot! There are so many amazing shots. I love the b/w with the veil where Aimee is looking down/ I also love the shot where Aimee is sitting on the roadside … and also the the backshot of Aimee with the tree ahead. Beautiful pics.
