Jennifer & Erik got married this past Fall in a beautiful Distillery District wedding. The nice thing about weddings held in the Distillery District is that everything is in such close proximity (not to mention there’s a lot of parking, and I always notice great parking since we have so much gear!)
We began with a reveal where Jennifer & Erik saw each other for the first time (often done when daylight is limited due to weddings being held in the Fall or Winter). The ceremony was being held at sunset so this was the best timing choice for photography. Jenn looked gorgeous so Erik was all smiles of course! We then explored the Distillery District and captured some beautiful alone portraits for this happy couple. The formals with the wedding party and family were great too…check out Erik’s groomsmen – Erik works for the Toronto Blue Jays so he gave his boys customized Blue Jays jerseys. We had to get a photo of these guys stylin’!
These two had a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony held at sunset inside the always stunning Thompson Landry Gallery in the Cooperage Building. The gallery offers a surreal and modern ambience as a perfect backdrop for an intimate evening wedding ceremony.
Under the hupa Jennifer & Erik were officially pronounced husband and wife, after which their wedding guests enjoyed cocktails in the gallery before moving on to the industrial chic restaurant Archeo - just across the way – where the couple got introduced and danced the Hora and celebrated their first night as husband and wife.
Before we finished up, we took some time to take some photographs outside in the dark. The image above with Jennifer & Erik drawing a heart with sparklers might be one of my favourite wedding images ever! Just love it.
To Jenn & Erik – Thanks for being such fun to work with, and all the best in your marriage!
Cheers,
Lisa
