Kristina & Andrew are engaged! Justin and I will be photographing their Glencairn Golf Club wedding in October this year, but this past winter we took some fun & creative shots together in downtown Brampton, Ontario. You know, I think we literally picked the coldest day of the winter! My fingers were numb after the first set of photos, so we saw a coffee shop and decided to stop in to warm up and grab a few images inside. Kristina & Andrew enjoyed some hot chocolate and some intimate conversation. After about 20 minutes of warmth, we were back outside to take photographic advantage of the approaching dusk.
Many of my clients know how much I love working with low-light and night photography, and this was a wonderful opportunity to experiment. Low-light environments allow me to use varied lighting including video light and off-camera flash, which I feel lends a lot of ‘drama’ to our work. Not to mention the downtown city lights of Brampton’s main stretch worked perfectly, and we also did some shots with the beautiful Christmas lights display in Gage Park.
Thanks Kristina & Andrew, and congratulations on your engagement. You were so much fun to work with, and we are excited to work with you guys again in October on your wedding day!
Cheers,
Lisa
