Lisa & Justin – We’re Married!

I’m writing this post as a newly married woman!  I had the honour of marrying my best friend, and business partner, Justin on Friday September 3rd at Edgewater Manor in Stoney Creek, Ontario where the food was incredible – our guests raved!  The location is gorgeous too.

The skies were threatening rain all morning but by late afternoon the weather cleared up and the sun even came out during our lakeside garden ceremony.  It was just like I had pictured…except I cried the WHOLE way down the aisle.  I was by far the most emotional bride I’ve ever seen, and I have seen a lot of brides.  Of course in between crying the whole ceremony, Justin and I broke out laughing several times, so it was actually pretty hilarious!

Thanks to our amazing family, friends and wedding party – we love you all and appreciate all your time and efforts in making our wedding day a success!  My little brother James was our ring bearer and he was absolutely adorable – I still can’t get over how cute he looked!

Vivian of Vivian’s Decorations and Designs did a phenomenal job on our centrepieces (white ostrich feathers!) and sweetheart, cake & receiving tables.  Her work is stunning and highly recommended.  You can check her out here:  http://www.vdecordesigns.com/

After the wedding, we were off on our honeymoon!  We decided to travel to the UK where we visited London, did a day trip to Paris (amazing!) and then travelled up to visit Liverpool and Manchester.  Anyone who knows our love for British music will understand our choice of locale for a honeymoon.  It was incredible – and if you’re ever in Manchester and are into Oasis, The Smiths, The Stone Roses, etc., you should check out Manchester Music Tours which are led by Craig Gill and Phill Gatenby – http://www.manchestermusictours.com/

To give our new clients a little more info on how Justin fits in with Lisa Mark Photography, he takes care of a lot of the office business and also gets more hands-on while assisting at all shoots (except Boudoir, haha) and second shooting and assisting at all of our clients’ weddings.  We work seamlessly as a team (which we hear from our clients constantly) and we are best friends.  Trust me, you’d have to be to work and live together.
