My Dad Craig owns & runs a motorcycle repair shop in Brantford, Ontario called Cycle Pro, along with my Step-Mom Cathy. He also drag races, and I recently saw a few snapshots from a day at the track. It got me really inspired, and so Justin and I headed out to the Brantford/Paris area to do a shoot on a race bike.
I used a three light setup here, with an umbrella and two kicker lights to give some definition and find detail in the bike. I love the surreal feeling of these images. We got really lucky with the sky, which actually wasn’t that dramatic, but with the right lighting it really popped.
If you have a bike and are looking for fantastic service, check out my Dad’s shop – http://www.cyclepro.ca or become a fan of Cycle Pro on Facebook.
